When I first met Carling and Matt I knew we were a match made in heaven. I just knew I had to be their photographer when I watched the love they had for each other, how Matt looked at Carling when she spoke and had his arm around the back of her chair… then they told me about their Bernese Mountain Dogs Hudson and Marlo and then for sure I knew these are my people!
They asked me.. “do you travel?”
and I was like yes ..
and they handed me their phones and said “Were planning to get married at the Fogo Island Inn” ever heard of it?
And my jaw hit the ground.. Newfoundland had been on my list of places I wanted to go.. but this place was something dreams are made of.
I am so grateful I got to capture these two amazing people in one of the most stunning places I have ever been too. How is this my job!?
Advice from the couple: Don’t forget why you are doing it. Not everyone has the same image for their day, and you have to do it for you and your fiancé. At the end of the day, those who love you will stand behind you and support your choices. Want to hear more from the couple? Check out this blog from Bride and Tonic!
