An Unforgettable Adventure as an Iceland Elopement Photographer with Ariel and Justin
There are few places as magical and otherworldly as Iceland, making it the perfect destination for Ariel and Justin’s stunning elopement. As an international wedding photographer, capturing the raw beauty of Iceland is always a dream come true, and this day was no exception.
The day started with Ariel and Justin getting ready in separate, charming little cabins at the enchanting Boutique Hotel Anna. The rustic yet cozy feel of the hotel set the perfect tone for their intimate celebration.
The Epic Ceremony Spot at Írárfoss Waterfall
The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Írárfoss waterfall. If you’re considering an elopement in Iceland, a waterfall ceremony is an absolute must. The backdrop of water and rugged cliffs provided a stunning and dramatic setting for their vows. As an Iceland elopement photographer, these moments are what I live for – capturing the pure love and joy against such a jaw dropping natural backdrop.
Afterwards we embarked on a photo adventure across the south of Iceland. The landscape here is nothing short of spectacular, with its volcanic black sand beaches, towering glaciers, and sweeping meadows. We stopped at various iconic spots, with each one even more breathtaking than the last. The ever-changing Icelandic light provided the perfect conditions for some moody shots. Ariel and Justin had their two closest friends with them to witness their vows and share in the day’s adventures, we love an untraditional wedding day. The intimacy of such a small group made the day feel incredibly personal and special. As the sun began to set, we wrapped up the evening in the most quintessentially Dana way possible – eating hot dogs on the side of the road from their camper van.
