An Intimate Irish Elopement: Christy and Fraser
As an International wedding photographer, I get to travel to many places, this time I was working the role as an Ireland Elopement Photographer. To say the country is incredible would be an understatement, the landscapes are something else.
From the moment Christy and Fraser shared they wanted to elope in Ireland, I knew it was going to be something special. Ireland has this magical charm that makes every moment feel like a fairytale.
About The Day
The day started in the adorable town of Kinsale, where they got ready together in a cute little Airbnb. It was the perfect, cozy spot for them to share some laughs, help each other with the final touches, and calm any last-minute jitters. It set such a relaxed and intimate tone for the rest of the day.
Their ceremony was at Ballysaggartmore Towers at 2 pm. Seriously, these towers look like they’re straight out of a storybook! Before the ceremony, they exchanged private cards, each reading heartfelt messages that had both of them tearing up. Then, they read their private vows to each other. It was such an emotional and beautiful moment, just the two of them sharing their promises in this enchanting place.
After the ceremony, we headed to the old Kings Head cliffs for some photos. The cliffs, with the ocean waves crashing below, were the perfect backdrop. The dramatic scenery made for some amazing shots, capturing the wild beauty of Ireland and the pure joy of Christy and Fraser.
Dinner was a quiet, private affair, letting them savor the day and each other’s company. Back at their Airbnb, they popped some champagne and celebrated their newlywed status. It was such a sweet and intimate way to wrap up the day, or so we thought!
The real fun started when we headed to a local pub. We ran into a busload of elderly tourists who absolutely adored the groom! They asked for photos and autographs, turning him into an instant celebrity. It was hilarious and such a heartwarming end to an incredible day.
